The Nourish’d Kitchen

In the last week or so I’ve realised that I need to take some time for myself and just enjoy the little things. So, as I was walking to my appointment this afternoon I noticed a cafe close by to where I parked my car. I decided that during this rare occasion of being child free I would stop in at the cafe on my way back to my car after my appointment and take some time out for myself to buy a nice lunch and just sit and enjoy it in the peace and quiet without gulping down my food in five minutes whilst trying to unload the dishwasher, pick up crayons and toys and tell my son to stop spitting his water out like a sprinkler! Something so little but really something I’ve realised is so important for me to do. I’m realising more and more that I need to just sit, enjoy my food with each mouthful and just be. No deep thinking, adding to my to-do lists or worrying. Just to be still…

So, today when leaving my appointment I had hundreds of reasons why I should just eat the nuts i’d packed in my bag to tie me over until I got home but instead I walked straight into the cafe I spotted when I arrived and ordered myself a delicious lunch which I then sat and enjoyed!

That cafe was The Nourish’d Kitchen in Stepney. Everything on the menu is gluten free and dairy and refined sugar free too with a whole page of vegan options. There are also lots of delicious looking raw desserts to choose from in the display fridge along with a few pantry items for sale too.

I chose the kelp noodle pad Thai salad with chicken and I was not disappointed! Everything tasted fresh and delicious! I did go at lunch time and it was quite busy with some items on the menu running low. Overall though it was a lovely lunch and I will be back!
