Another Chocolate Option!
It’s around this time of the year when everyone seems to be enjoying their chocolate treats. A few years ago I would have just settled with the fact that there wasn’t anything around for me that resembled a piece of dairy free, gluten free, refined sugar free chocolate that was enjoyable to eat. Until wonderful and thoughtful companies like Pana Chocolate and Loving Earth created delicious treats for people that wanted chocolate without the ‘other stuff.’ A couple of years ago I posted some info about those chocolate options (which you can read here) but since then there seems to be more of an increased awareness of alternative and healthier ways of eating and so we’re starting to see more varieties and options of treats out there! Yay!
The most recent chocolate option I have discovered is from The Chocolate Counter. My mother-in-law found it in her local Coles Supermarket and bought it for Pete and I. It’s always so exciting to find a new product that is free from foods I avoid!
The Chocolate Counter chocolate comes in a range of flavours and are gluten free, lactose free, have no added sugar and contain both pea protein and monk fruit. So far we have tried the hazelnut one and it’s quite yummy with a slight after taste which I assume is the monk fruit.
It’s worth a try though if you normally miss out on treats.
Enjoy
