Co-Yo
A naturopath introduced me to Co-Yo about a year ago and I’m so glad she did. I have always loved yoghurt and really missed having it as a snack or dessert once I cut out dairy. So as you can imagine I was so delighted to be told that there was a coconut milk yoghurt alternative out there!
Co-Yo is very thick and very creamy with live vegan cultures added to it with an obvious coconut taste. It is sweetened with stevia and comes in a plain flavour or fruit flavours such as mixed berry, passionfruit or mango.
It is dairy free, vegan, soy free, gluten free, lactose free and refined sugar-free!
I use it to top my chia seed puddings, I have it with fruit, seeds and nuts and I also love having it on its own as a little treat. My husband adds it to his smoothies and I sometimes serve it as a side to my desserts instead of ice cream or cream.
It is around the $10 mark at my local supermarket and I’ve seen it selling for a similar price in health food stores as well. Go Vita health food stores and Fairview Green Romeo’s Foodland both stock all the flavours in the fridge section.
Enjoy!
Thanks Andrea
I love yoghurt too and miss having it. Will definitely be trying your suggestion!
Hi Kate,
Glad to help! Let me know how you go trying the Co-Yo.
Hi Andrea
Love the yoghurt in smoothies or on some fruit and nuts for breakfast. Delicious! Found another brand in Woolworths but unfortunately has some sugar in it. Looking forward to trying the icecream next.
That’s great to hear Kate!
Hope you like the icecream as much as the yoghurt!
