George’s on Waymouth
Each year on our wedding anniversary my husband and I go out for dinner to a fine dining restaurant. We take it in turns to pick a nice restaurant and surprise the other. It was my turn this year to choose a restaurant but as you can imagine it can be a bit hard when you are unable to eat a lot of foods. When we eat out I tend to call the place before we go just to make sure they can cater for my dietary requirements. If the person sounds vague or unaccommodating, I usually choose somewhere else. I had 3 choices and thought I would narrow them down by calling them up and checking to see if they could cater for my dietary requirements. The third place I called was George’s On Waymouth. There was no answer so I left a message and by the next morning George himself had called me back. He asked me to tell him my dietary requirements and then went on to assure me that they would do whatever they could to accommodate for me and that it wouldn’t be an issue at all.
We had our booking for last Saturday and when we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted by the waitress who wished us a happy anniversary! I was told I could choose anything from the menu and they would do their best to accommodate for me. If there was something they were unable to change the waitress would come back to our table and let me know so there was never any guessing! At the end of the night my husband ordered dessert and they asked me if I would like a plate of fruit salad. I normally sit and watch my husband eat dessert so it was such a treat to be catered for on a special occasion.
If you have special dietary requirements and need to find somewhere nice to eat in Adelaide, go to George’s On Waymouth!
